I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

IIt is true that Dex has patients that want to get off opiates and he is certified to write things like suboxone. but the other side of his practice is pain management. You go in every other month and each visit requires a UA.

MEDICAID, it was much better when they paid for your meds.Every other month when I go to fill there is ALWAYS a problem. They will require a prior auth and while Dex immediately tries to get a prior auth he is then is denied. We are going to appeal those dictator...was recently deemed disabled by the state. Yet they decide what meds make me functional. Medicaid has an algorythm and regardless of your pain...they basically decide what you can and can not take. Right now, we lowered the meds and finally. I just hate calling the pharmacy and texting Dr. Dex all day to get an update on my meds just to find out I must pay. I am aware other insurance companies are following Medicaid's schedule

Anyway, just call him. You can probably get in this week. If you don't have records he will get them from your previous. The longer you wait the more the new doc will wonder if you really need pain meds.

Please enough already... if you can't control your anger or frustration refrain from posting until you can compose yourself. It's not fair to malign or misrepresent the truth because a legit referred provider didn't feel your prior drug regimen was medically indicated in his professional estimation. How is that anyone else's fault?? I just wish we could return to the norms established providing support, assistance, and advice when possible to do so. Hate and innuendo serves no one well...Legit chronic pain sufferers face enough disrespect from the greater community at large when we begin to attack each other then who wins?? NO ONE...Can't we all just get along and return to the days of old. God bless yah all. Peace, Tomas

What doses are u using kratam, how much, how often? I was interested in trying it but was when it was going to be banned,

I get kratom on the Internet, happy hippo herbals. Unfortunately, it's in powder form,, but seems to be most effective. I just mix it with orange juice. I guess it doesn't work for for everyone, but for me it was extremely helpful. God bless everyone here.

Hello, sum of you are saying I wasn't in the hospital. Well I was. I had wendy look at the refute. The doc sed I needed a new one witch I had to go to another doctor to get. Again if one doctor don't want you at a pill mill he won't give it. And you saying I lied to get the info is far from a lie. And another thing when I met with wendy she told me she'd go with me to make sure I got the care I needed and paid for ride but then after the money was given I told her I felt she just took advantage of me, promised me to help me get to and from with offers even to give had after the fact I never had nothing bad in my medical record. Only thing was my meds were stolen a long time ago but later recovered. It's in my record. My last doctor just walked out on his job. Denver health was my doctor. So ware did I lie. When I was admitted for trying to commit suicide I didn't want to live with this pain and going tru getting a doctor that judged off the top. So far as me ive never been a drug seeker and if you all feel my pain you understand more about my situation. I can prove it. 15 years of records of my pain. So plz don't judge me. Yes my daughter used my page to find me help. What's wrong with ppl using the system? I never did. Just could never afford to pay 200 or more. Yes wendy was of my help. I don't deny it. But it loops and more loops to go tru. I just thought she would of told me I'd need a referral. I had to suffer for 2 weeks and she never got back to me. Now you all are taking her word for it and label me as a seeker. Wendy seen my papers I had from my last doctor. Need I say more. So who want to see my records and what's in it? I'm never ashamed to see what I been tru. So y'all go a head and judge if you want to. Its a shame when one person labels you as seeker. Don't you think we get enough from having to find a doctor? I'm so upset at sum of you but it's truly ok. I never skipped doc to doc. Now I'm with the doctor. He did put on several different things before I went on my meds I had b4 I seen him. So now I'm doing better for the most part. As for wendy what bad things can you say. I was blue balled. My name was never on anything saying I was a seeker or nothing. The lies ppl tell to gain clout of sumone is crazy. Your just not to be trusted that's all and don't be on here talking tough sweety. Be a woman and not a loser trying to dirt my name on this site. Tell the truth. I have nothing to hide. And as far as me saying anything to the doctor about wendy I'd never do such a thing. Even tho I don't like what happened to me that's not me at all. I have been on opiate for the better part of the last 20 years for thing or another. My problem is that I definitely need them for pain control, but I also enjoy the euphoric feeling a lot. I am also physically deppendet on them. I just just had my right leg amputated below the knee on Aug 2016. Now in really going to be screwed because my Dr is talking about weening me off. I was on 8mg of hydromorphone every 4hours but just dropped me down to 4mg every six. And flat out refuses to give any long lasting meds. My point is just because I like taking opiates doesn't mean I don't need and deserve to take them. I also take xalarto so I can't take any Nsaids for pain.

Kristy, you can google where to buy Kratom capsules in Denver and you should get a list of places that sell them. I got mine at Herbal Dazed at 65th and Federal. There are a ton of places you can get it at.

Admin, you stated earlier that people would be blocked in certain instances. Wow, sounds like we need to hear the rules again. I didn't understand why Wendy, or fed up or original Wendy would ask for a fee for a doctor's name. I was willing to give the benefit but now it's sounds like more. I sincerely hope someone wouldn't lie about a person trying to take their life. When we say we are concerned about our docs, it is because we want to protect them from drug seekers etc! I feel for anyone addicted, there but for the Grace of GOD, go any of us. Saying that a new doc needs to see old records is reasonable, requiring a special referral, that I don't understand. No regular doc will touch pain anymore which is so sad. If you ask ppl for their hard earned money, and they don't get value, of course they are going to be mad! And at you! Let's see this doc's name or at least enough identifying info to find the doc! That is why we tell folks to read through the posts. If you are at home due to pain, you will do it; looking for a quick high, maybe you won't! I do think anything we can do to decrease our dosages is a good idea, it's only going to get worse. I am going to try hypnotherapy and see what happens.

I am grateful that I am able to walk. Wasn't long ago, I couldn't. I saw a man in a wheelchair and he just look miserable. I started realizing that even though I am in pain, I can walk! I am grateful to have a home, I saw a woman downtown try to go into a fast food place to try and get warm and after about 2 min, they made her leave. I am grateful to have a loving, supportive family, they keep me going! I am grateful for Colorado Pain Relief, they have been there for me for years.

Wow, what has happened to our forum? At this point, let's start over. Let's talk about how to help one another, our pain levels will all be going down within the next 4 months due to weather change and we can all focus on the future. We all have SOMETHING in our lives to be grateful for. Why don't we ALL list something positive that we are grateful for. List as many things as you like, just stay positive.

Cecei you were told like everyone u need pain referral. U lied to tom and I. Even your post u lied saying u needed it for your mom to get out of hospital. We meet and u tell me some crazy story. You got what u paid for, a real doctor. Now if u would have told me the truth i wouldn't of even given you his number. My doctor goes by DEA guidelines. You're not getting two instant relief, u get one long acting and three breakthrough a day. That's medicade. And the shots do help and its part of therapy. I'm mad u posted so much lies. Don't ever tell my friends i ripped u off. You screwed yourself by leaving out that Denver health discharged you for {edited for privacy}. No doctor by law can help you.

IF THAT DR IS SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFO WITH OTHER PEOPLE. ..I WOULD DEFINITELY LOOK INTO WHAT THEY CAN DO LEGALLY. IT'S AGAINST THE LAW AND THE HIPAA AGREEMENT THAT THEY SWEAR TO UPHOLD. ...I WOULD BE TAKING SCREEN SHOTS OF POSTS AND KEEPING RECORD. ...JUST AN FYI

Wendy's a conman, that's all that's it. So you never said I need a referral or anything, but told me after you took my money that you'd even come get me. And I don't have anything bad in my records at all. It said that they're not comfortable giving me my same thing cause they're not a pain management clinic. And fyi you told me {edited for privacy} couldn't go there cause she has drugs in her system and he told her not to come back, and further more you told a BIG FAT LIE. IF ANYONE WANTS THE DOCS NAME I'LL GIVE FOR FREE. NOW YOU TALK BIG ON HERE THAT YOU DON'T KNOW YOU'RE EVEN DOING THIS. PAYING FOR INFO TO A DOC WHO COULD CARE LESS AND I'M STAYING WITH HIM BECAUSE I DON'T AND CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER ONE. Wendy what does black balled mean...Like being red flag so you can't get them...I'm sorry for feeling sorry for her there is always 2 sides to every story. Everyone knows the main rule of pain management is don't go in telling your new Dr what u want, and every1 knows they check your name in the monitoring drug program and bring or get ur most updated records... Just be careful now so she doesn't go into ur Dr lying on u so u get in trouble. You tried to help but if ppl messed up at 1 Dr then that Dr is not going give what u want anyway.

Cecei you are a liar. You paid a hundred. You went to my guy, told him want you wanted, he looked up your records and saw issues. I told you to get pain reference from Denver Health, your old place. You couldn't because they dropped you, and i wont embarrass you by telling everyone why. Lucy got her meds, I get mine, Phoenix got hers. You can't go to a new doc and tell him what to prescribe you. It goes by records and notes. If you would have told me you were black balled from narcotics i wouldn't have referred you. Don't ruin my name because you cant be honest.

I am interested in seeing Dr Dex, but it appears (via Google) that he is a "withdrawal" Dr only- is that true? I currently have a rheumatologist that I see, but he is extremely conservative, and my chronic disease is only getting worse. I need a Dr who can empathize with me and treat my pain accordingly. All I do is text/call him? It sounds too good to be true. Any more details would be so greatly appreciated!

CRYING SHAME...

Just so you know since Day 1 of the Internet I was in hi-tech and learned that ANYTHING put on the internet will be there forever, deleted or not and I keep that in mind on here too. Anyway, I cant speak for you or Wendy but she told me about the referral and in fact, when I called Dr. R....they would not make an appt for me until I had the referral. I don't have a PCP anymore..its on my list of to dos..but Dr. Smith did provide me with a referral.I am sorry for what you are going thru..I guess that why I pay 160/mo to stay with Dex. My appt with him is in 2 wks and I only have half the fee. I have a few clients who I've invoiced but there is no guarantee I will have the money in time. But as stressful as this is..I do it because I like Dex and he believes me as to what works and what doesnt. Dr. R. wanted to lower my doses to a point I didn't think would work for me. As a bookkeeper and tax preparer these next few months are booked and I literally can not be bed ridden which would happen if I lowered my doses. As for worrying about Dr. Shopping...I left a few providers after 1 or 2 months because they insisted on putting me on meds like suboxone which is NOT a pain reliever. Just don't fill 2 different scripts in the same month. I wish you well and if I can help in anyway lemme know. Did your hubby go back to Dex?

Thats a lot of Methadone, I would be careful I have seen many people overdose and pass away from methadone, I am trying to get off of it because they say now its not as good for you as originally thought. You may want to have your doc prescribe narcan (Naloxone) for you so if you do OD by accident you can have someone use that on you .
