Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 115)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Colorado pain relief in wheat ridge, no doubt about it. Need recent MRI (1 to 2yrs old, might have to be no older than a year old, don't remember) an they will ask for a blood test or have u do one to check Ur liver. U.a for every appt. but they don't follow u in. I have the same problems in my back an neck, an when u need help u need help!

I am still in TX... I'll get home Friday, so I'm not sure about Saturday.... But I hope!

I still want to know why a post I made two days ago didn't make it through... It's hard to pour out feelings that I think we can all identify with and then the message just goes poof! :(

I am new to the Loveland/Ft Collins area, from Denver. I need to establish a new PM Doc and my Doc didn't have any recommendation. I don't have the time or money to "interview" a bunch of Docs to make sure they believe in several different pain issues I have and be willing to write a script for pain meds. I am very willing to continue with all of the other "pain management" things I know (exercise, massage, ice, heat, etc) and willing to try any new suggestions, but I still need the meds so I can function. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! If anyone can recommend a acupuncturist as well... It saddens me to read all of the posts here and know there are so many people like myself; not "pill shopping", just trying to live the best we can with the hand we were dealt.

I haven't been on here for about a week. Amy Van Dyken severed her spine in an ATV accident in Arizona in June 2014. Wound up at Craig Hospital in Englewood CO. She's a former Olympic swimmer with asthma (!) and six gold medals. She grew up in Centennial is married to Tom Rouen, former Broncos kicker. I put a post out early this morning. I need a good pain doc in Loveland/Ft Collins/Greeley area. Any help would be so appreciated!!! I need somebody who doesn't only judge on what they see on my xrays, but also in the things that can't see, like Fibro and IBS and Migraines. Somebody who isn't afraid to suggest Accupuncture and Pain Meds!!!

The Dea fix it for everyone now it's almost impossible to get a doctor. People that sold their pills caused this.Now if u need help your gonna have to pay for it. Doctors can't or won't write long term pain meds. You can call C.P.R IN WHEATRIDGE for 225 a month they will do pain management. You need a referral from your MD and recent Mri.
