Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 116)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Wendy, I am checking in. Smalls here, lol. I will not be able to make it, Halloween Party with a friend who needs a designated driver. Very sorry guys that I haven't been on as much. I am working on getting my business up and running and I am either on a webinar, taking an online class or teaching/training someone else. It is not that I don't want to be here, it's just that I need to find a way to totally and completely support myself so that I can take care of my health needs. Knee replacements, Teeth, ect... I am sure that all of you can totally comprehend. Have an amazing time and know that I will be there in spirit!

Chris, sorry about the silence. I think that we are all very shy about new people. Yes, Colorado Pain Relief is in Wheat Ridge. I personally do not know of any other place in Co. I hope this helps and you get the relief you need.

Sorry I been sick all nite, Cpr off Kipling in 5 2nd. Pain patients unite meet tomorrow. I'm super excited. Chris your welcome to come join our support group and get info friendship etc their. Request my email from administration if u want to go. As for the rest, I'll be on patio in back by gazebo tommrow nite. Can't wait bring paper and pen.

There is absolutely a 5mg hydrocodone pill. Most prescriptions read as Lorcet instead of Lortab but it is 5mg. It's usually prescribed for "mild to moderate" pain and given to patients who have very seldom required pain meds. It does very little for chronic pain.

I too am having difficulty getting my pain medication refilled. I had 3 back surgeries this year (5 total) and I am 42 years old. My doctor went from extremely willing to absolutely nothing after the clinic was under fire for prescribing pain medication. I live in the Fargo, ND area-please help!

I had a blast , thank you both ladies for coming .I want to start the pain group support system. Each day we will appoint one of us to be on call available to everyone in confidence.Talk about anything you need to talk about .We can start tommrow at 10 pm /10 am I'll go first who's second?

All Support Group
Lots of people weren't able to come to the first meeting, but even though it was small, I found it very worthwhile (hope the other girls did too). There was lots of information available and I found it very helpful. I sure hope that the next meeting has lots more attendees. I think it's really a great idea and could prove to be very supportive and helpful to lots of us.
I was hoping that people like MAC and others who post that I have never even talked with, would be able to come. I think everyone has lots to give to everyone else. It was fun for me and I hope I'll be able to make the drive again.
