Doctor In Waterloo Iowa Area!

Hello-
I was in a vehicle accident & have had severe neck pains since the accident. I had a dr who prescribed 180 10mg Oxycodone HCl. She's retired now & I'm having GREAT difficulties finding a new dr to write the script. Is there any drs in Iowa who will take on my case?

Hello, Alsbi! How are you doing? Sorry about the problem that you're having.

However, part of the problem might be due to your approach. If you're looking for a new doctor to write a prescription, then that might be the issue. If you contact a new doctor and ask them about prescribing a controlled substance, such as this, they will view that as being drug seeking behavior and usually not even let you get in the door for an appointment.

You've really just got to set up an appointment with a new doctor, make sure that they receive a full copy of your current medical records, then keep the appointment to discuss your treatment options. If a doctor can see what other medication has worked for you as documented by a fellow physician, they will be more prone to prescribe accordingly.

I understand your pain! However I was not getting that many. That is why there are pain management doctors. It seems like doctors here in waterloo Iowa do not care what kind of pain anyone is in. One doctor said that percocets is a very strong narcotic!!! And that is what he gives his cancer patients!!!!
WHAT A JOKE! AND I KNOW IT IS A CROCK OF COW CRAP!! IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!
NO ONE GIVES CANCER PATIENTS PERCOCETS!!! I EVEN I AM NOT STUPID TO THAT FALSE STATEMENT. JUST KEEP LOOKING FOR A PAIN MANAGEMENT DR.
