Are There Any Va Dr's Who Will Allow Me Quality Of Life
UpdatedI have had 2 sacral injections, and 6 facet injections with relief lasting 2-3wks with relief. I've had a spine specialist, pain management, and PCP, all 3 saying I had arthritis of the spine. I ended up going off on that pain managements PA, bc she was going to prescribe me percocets until I could have an MRI of my upper spine, and scheduled back in for more injections. I signed the papers saying I wouldn't abuse or sell or share, a and then asked me to pee in a cup. Well, I had marijuana in my system, and I was straight out and upfront about it to the nurse, and she told me to go ahead and pee. Next thing I know, she is back in the room saying they could no longer treat me bc of marijuana. I have it on my bad nights of pain, I insomnia, occasional migraines and nausea.... And that is only after trying everything else, and at night in my bed. All she had to say was stop smoking... And I would have in order to get relief. But she acted like her crap didn't stink, and there are medicinal purposes.
She wouldn't refer me to another pain management, and I lost it. I'm a stay at home mom for 6 years, and my kids have been stuck in the house for the whole summer, bc mommy will hurt so bad the next day. I already suffer Major Depressive Disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. I've had to be my own advocate, which makes me a pill seeker. My pcp sent me to a new pain management that said my spine was fine And everyone has arthritis in spine and he thinks its muscular. This has been going on since January of 2015. I don't know where to go, or what to do. Most the pill docs are self pay... And I lost $300 bc he wouldn't look at my MRI cd, he only went off dictated report, which was only looking for disc problems. I live in Chesterfield, Va... Right outside of Richmond, Va, so you would think I'd be able to find help. That is so far from the truth. I don't have the money to keep forking out! I'm about to be divorced, my cousins ex just tried to kill her in my car by grabbing the wheel, while she was going to a doctor apt.
The first thing that doctors say to me is we do not prescribe narcotics. I just start crying, bc I'm so tired of all this! I have no quality of life, and my kids need new! I've even wrote the governor. I need to be looking for a divorce attorney instead of googling dr's, and praying I'm able to go due to my transportation, and now is the time I need to be my strongest. Spinal injections will just deteriorate the bone, and I won't have a spine by the time I'm 40... But dr's don't think about that! Please I'm begging for help. I've stopped having marijuana, but that's only been a week.
