Par pharmaceuticals bupropion xl 300mg didn't work for me. The Par pharmaceuticals bupropion xl 150mg also didn't work for my daughter. Terrible side effects. We both switched to Actavis bupropion Sr. We are doing fine.

I feel better on the Sandoz brand bupropion rather than the Par Pharm

I actually stopped taking Wellbutrin altogether. I now take Paxil, Lamictal and Clonazepam, so I kinda went in the other direction as far as norepinephrine and dopamine go.... very tired all the time and more depressed, which is probably due to the clonazepam..but it's nice not feel so tense and anxious all the time. It always feels like a coin toss. Should I be depressed and calm? Or anxious and happy? Is there ever a happy medium? Lol. But I hope the rest of you are doing well on your Wellbutrin and hopefully find a generic that works for you! I think I will give Wellbutrin another shot in about 6 months or so. I'm pretty sure I was completely immune to it, no matter which generic I tried.

I hope you are doing well on the PAR generic. My kids and I failed terribly on it. Beware.

I'm the same way lately, but I keep thinking that maybe I've just been on it too long now. At first, Wellbutrin made me lose about 20 pound and I lost all interest in smoking, but over the past 2 or 3 months I've gained it all back and I smoke constantly again. I'm on 450 mg total. I take one 300 mg tablet (made my Par) and one 150 mg tablet (made by Mylan) each day, so I'm actually taking two different generics. Either way, I'm not receiving the same benefit that I used to. I'm also on Paxil and Lamictal, so I really have no idea what does what at this point. That's the drawback of being on multiple psych meds. Anyone else have Par experiences? I don't even have the energy to find the "best" generic anymore and I can't afford the $50/month guarantee program, so I'm stuck with generics since I'm on state Medicaid and most generics are $0

Not working for me neither! Horrible side effects in both 150 and 300. Had to switch back to global manufacturer as these have little effects for me!

I haven't taken this particular manufacturer's generic form of Wellbutrin (Bupropion), but thought I'd provide some additional information on it for those readers who may be trying to compare it with other brands/generics they may or may not have already tried.

Bupropion XL made by Anchen Pharmaceuticals (of whom Par Pharmaceuticals purchased in 2011) are the small white round tablets imprinted in black ink with "A 101" or "A 102" for the 150mg/300mg doses, respectively.

Each 150mg (A 101) pill reportedly contains the following set of inactive ingredients:
alcohol + ethylcelluloses + hydrochloric acid + hydroxypropyl cellulose + povidone + silicon dioxide

Each 300mg (A 102) pill reportedly contains the following set of inactive ingredients:
alcohol + ethylcelluloses + hydroxypropyl cellulose + methacrylic acid - ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1) type a
povidone + silicon dioxide + hydrochloric acid + isopropyl alcohol + hydrogenated cottonseed oil

The reason I mention the inactive ingredient list is because I believe they are probably one of the most important things to take into consideration upon evaluating efficacy from one tablet or manufacturer to another. Hopefully some of you will find this info beneficial when it comes to understanding why one product may work better or worse than another, despite having equivalent dosages.
