Wellbutrin - making me go crazy?
1 Reply RSS
Hopefully someone sees this, I've never been on this site before. My doctor increased my Wellbutrin to 450 mg about 2 months ago. I feel like I am slowly losing it, and I never thought that maybe it could be the Wellbutrin. I'm always agitated. I'm never comfortable, never relaxed. I am doing obsessive things like washing my hands repeatedly, making sure everything in the room is perfectly neat and straight. I can't cry anymore. I seem perfectly fine when I talk to people, but my mind feels like a mess. I'm focused and I do what I need to do every day, but I feel no joy, just agitation. I always feel like I need to do something and I'm always nervous about something, even if there's nothing to be nervous about. Has anyone ever taken Wellbutrin and experienced...

What Is The Best Generic Version Of Wellbutrin Xl - Watson or Anchen?
772 Replies RSS
My doctor will not prescribe generic Wellbutrin XL but my insurance will no longer pay for brand name drugs. I will have to pay about $7000 per yer for what I am taking now (3 of the 150mg Wellbutrin XL brand name per day). I am reading that the problem with the generics is the time release mechanism and not the drug itself and that some are better than others. Anybody have experience with the generics made by Watson and /or Anchen? ## I have no experience using it, but I do understand the problems that can occur with generic medications. I also did some searching and from what I've found online, most that have tried the one manufactured by Anchen have had good results with it. However, you may not get the same results, the only way to find out is to actually try it and see how it w...

Has Anyone Tried The Generic Version Of Wellbutrin Sr Made By Sun Pharma Bupropion Hcl
22 Replies RSS
Hi - I just got a perscription for the Sun Pharma generic version of Wellbutrin SR (Bupropion HCL SR). Has anyone had success with this one? If not which generic version have you had success with? ## Whatever generic worked for someone else may not work for you and vice versa. Learn more Wellbutrin SR details here. The only way to find out what works for you is to actually try it and see. If one generic doesn't work for you, then you can consult your pharmacist to see what else is available. Have you started them yet? Have you had any problems with them? ## CVS stopped carrying the Watson generic in March and supply only Sun Pharma brand of Bupropion, which is manufactured in India and distributed in the U.S. by CARACO Pharmaceutical Labs based in Detroit. The pills I took in March ...

Antidepressant Combination
1 Reply RSS
I have been on Welbutrin 150mg for a few years and may need to add another antidepressant now. 300 mg is too much for me and doesn't work. I was given Lexepro 10mg but do not want to continue with this drug. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I could take that wouldn't have the horrific side and withdrawal effects of Lexepro? My issue is depression. Appreciate any feedback. ## Hello, Cassie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. What type of doctor are you consulting? I think a specialist would be best, because many of the other antidepressant react badly with the Wellbutrin, they tend to increase its toxicity, which could be dangerous. You might be able to aid a low dose of a medication like Abilify, which is approved to augment that act...

Why is my Wellbutrin suddenly making me feel out of it? Could something be wrong with the release mechanism?
5 Replies RSS
I've been taking generic Wellbutrin XL , made by Par pharmaceuticals, for the past months. Has always worked great, no problems. Last week I went to CVS to pick up a refill , and they gave me the same tablets as always, made by Par pharmaceuticals. But all of a sudden, after I take it, I feel really good for about 3 hours and then all of a sudden my mood plummets and I feel foggy and confused for the rest of the day. Could Par have changed something about their release mechanism? Is that possible? I've never had issues with them until now. This has never happened before. I can't figure out what's going on ## Hi Vin, I read an article not too long ago that they had a recall on Wellbutrin because of the new formula was not working, at all. The guy who wrote it has a radio ...

different types of wellbutrin pills
1 Reply RSS
I recently was prescribed wellbutrin and received little white pills labeled a102. Well last month insurance didn't cover them when I went to pay for my meds the pharmacist changed the pill to make it cheaper. I hate these ones and my insurance is back but they won't give me the other pills. How do I get them back or what would I specifically say to another pharmacy to make sure I get the ones I started with? ## You have to ask your psychiatrist or prescriber to specify the brand of generic you want. It is honestly best to just call the pharmacy and ask if they have that specific generic in stock and if they will special order the generic for you. Then ask your insurance if they will cover it. My best advice is to monitor the brand of generic you're on and how it affects you...

Wellbutrin Stopped Working- Please help!
5 Replies RSS
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I am desperate for support and hoping I can get some advice from people who may have had a similar experience. I feel like I'm drowning- like the life has been sucked out of me. I've felt depressed ever since I was 12 years old. I wasn't suicidal, but I felt a general lack of motivation for life. I couldn't find happiness in anything, and just getting out of bed was a struggle most days. At age 21 I decided to do something about it and got a script for the generic version of Wellbutrin XL (300mg) for roughly 2 years. In the beginning it was a miracle drug- I was able to get out of bed in the morning, I was super motivated, lost some weight, and felt like a normal human being- until at some point it stopped working, so I tapered off and even...

Wellbutrin is no Longer Working | Depression
4 Replies RSS
I've been taking Wellbutrin for 7 years. Over the years my doctor has increased the dosage to combat the loss of effectiveness due to tolerance. Now, it no longer works. I'm bedridden, have stopped working and have trouble with activities that involve movement, like washing dishes. Doing laundry is a huge accomplishment. Anyway, I've been on imipramine for 7 years, a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) of the dibenzazepine group. Anyway, I'm curious about Selegiline, an MAO-B, (its also calledAnipryl, L-deprenyl, Eldepryl, Emsam, Zelapar). Has anyone tried it to boost Wellbutrin? How about something to boost acetylcholine? How about COMT? It's critical that I get something like Wellbutrin to work. What is the standard replacement? What are some on the synergetic boosters?...

what is the best generic brand of wellbutrin
16 Replies RSS
FYI: The drug manufacturer Watson bought out Activist. Watson "made a business decision" to no longer produce the Watson generic brand of Wellbutrin and only produce the Activist version. Watson was the brand that worked for me (I've tried many) so it's unfortunate they have made this business decision. I've called the company to request they continue to manufacture the Watson version. Anyone going through the same situation may want to call Watson 1-800-272-5525. *** if anyone takes a generic that doesn't work they should notify the F.D.A. 1-855-543-3784. ## Thank you for sharing this info Trace. Ever since Actavis bought out Watson, it seems like most of their meds have all started to go down hill. I mean if they're making these kinds of business decisions ...

Wellbutrin 300mg sr doing nothing after it used to work for me in the past.
3 Replies RSS
Hello, I'm not sure if this is common or not, over the last 4 or 5 years I was on wellbutrin off and on,(mostly on). In the past when I started up again, I always knew it was working because for the first roughly two weeks I would get all the common side effects: Insomnia, tremors, anxiety, even a little paranoia, and of course loss of appetite. After about 2 or 3 months I usually would loose a good 15 pounds or so while taking the medication. Do to an insurance issue I was off the medication for about year. Recently (almost 3 ago now), I started taking my usual dose of 300mg a day again. However, this time around I feel no side effects at all? Could this mean I either built up a tolerance or the medication is going to stop working for some reason? Obviously I know I should really gi...
