I need to pass a urine test that is looking for abuse. I have back injury, PTSD resutiling from severe burns. These conditions are work related. I'm now in the position that I'm considered to be abusing these meds., which at times I take more than the dose perscribed just to get relief. My injuries are all work related. I have no where to turn. I've had PTSD since 7/11/11 and am on Valium, Hydrocodone, Butbital, Oxycodone and Ambien. I'm not permitted to take pain meds during work, so I take daily doses after work. The PTSD is so bad from burns that I get night terrors , severe migraines and amon edge , so I take Valium for anxiety. I'm on IVIG treatment once a month for JOBS syndrome, this makes my migraines worse, but I have not been hospitalized for MERSA of other...

May 20-26 I was in the hospital taking Ambien, ativan and cymbalta. Once I left the hospital I took my ambien sparingly. The ativan even less and no cymbalta at all. However on June 16 I took 1/2 10MG of Ambien. I had a saliva drug test that next morning and it came back as THC, Amphedimines and opiates. How did this happen?? ## Ambien contains the active ingredient Zolpidem and neither it nor the Cymbalta, which contains Duloxetine, are substances tested for on those types of tests and they are also not known to cause false positives for anything else. The Ativan contains Lorazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine and it is also not known to cause false positives. Where you taking anything else? Even over the counter products or something else they gave you in the hospital? ## The only other...

My husband will not take his sleeping pill. He stays up all night. Should I crush it up and put it in his food ## Hello, Bump! How are you? If he is of normal sound mind then no, you can't do that. It would actually be considered illegal. I know you're worried about him, but if he just doesn't want to take it and prefers to deal with his insomnia, then that is his right. If he isn't of sound mind and you are supposed to make sure that the takes it, then whether or not you can crush it and give it to him that way depends on which one he is supposed to be taking, since some of them are time released. Which one has he been prescribed and what is the dosage? ## It starts with a A. Ambiance I think That's how u spell it ## Did you mean Ambien? It is used for the short-ter...

orange round pill ## do these work and are they intended to help insomnia? ## does any gernic international ambien come in a peanu shaped pill that is beige in color no markings or a funny shaped blue pill no markings or a tiny round light pink with 20 imprint? ## Norma, in the U.S. all legal prescription drugs have to have an imprint of some sort on them. This is under Federal Law, they must have markings that allow them to be identified according to drug, manufacturer and dosage. Therefore, in the U.S. if it has no marking, it is NOT a prescription medication!! In rare instances, you will run into foreign drugs with no markings and no way to positively identify them, but in most cases if they have no marking, they are something over the counter. There is a Canadian tablet that is desc...

Is a prescription required for this medicine? ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? I'm sorry, but you forgot to mention which medication you were asking about. Can you please post back and clarify? Most sedative hypnotics, such as Ambien and Lunesta do require a prescription, due to the risk of problematic side effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations and sleep actions. They also sometimes risk being habit forming. ## I'm a student but I can't sleep at night. Please suggest an appropriate medicine I can take for a good night's rest, because my exams are going well.

I received what I thought was ambien 10mg. A white oblong tablet with the word SAFE embrossed on one side nothing on the other. I have never seen it this way before. ## There have been several reports of people receiving these pills as Ambien from foreign sources, mainly the Philippines, however, we've been unable to confirm this. It can be difficult, with foreign medications, since they are not as strictly regulated and are not required to log their imprints, like companies that are approved to sell their medications in the U.S. and Canada. Is anyone familiar with this tablet? ## I too have received this "SAFE" imprinted white oblong tablet three times. Twice with the name of Ativan written below the barcode on the labeled bottle and once with Stilnox in that same place. It...

Yes, Ambien has been known to cause such problems as side effects in some people that take it. I suffered similar effects from it. Have you consulted your doctor? You might need to try a different medication. ## I have been getting these similar eye problems since taking ambien. It's not happening when I take it at night, it's the next day or night! It's hard to explain but it seems like when I look up, I get a dizzy feeling and everything gets blurry for a minute! It also seems to make my head hurt right between my eyes when this happens. Just wanted a answer to how long ambien starts to work, for the insomnia. And how long does, it help for ## Ambien starts to work within minutes of taking it, which is why the monograph instructs you to take it right when you are laying down to sleep and not any earlier. Learn more Ambien details here. As to how long it helps for, the regular release really isn't intended to help you stay asleep, it's meant for those that have trouble falling asleep. If you have trouble staying asleep, there is a controlled release formulation that you can ask your doctor about.
