I'm trying to identify some pills that are supposed to be generic ambien. It's a small oval white pill with apo on one side and 10 other the other side. I am wondering if there have been cases where more than 10 mg ambien is needed to sleep. How much is too much? ## Ambien contains the active ingredient Zolpidem, it is usually used for the short term treatment of insomnia. The problem with it is that all of these types of medications can be habit forming, thus you should only use it as prescribed. If your current dosage is not working for you, then please speak to your doctor, there are other options available, including a time released Ambien, called Ambien CR. Some common side effects can include: nausea, hallucinations, euphoria and loss of libido, all of which can be aggravated if you take higher doses, as well. I've been taking ambien for abt 1 month, I stop taken them, I gained weight abt 10lbs, reason why i would get up in the middle of night and eat, and had no clue i was doing that till my husband and niece told me i was eating asleep i did not believe then so they video tape me and yes i was doing that, so i stopped taken ambien and now i have to work on loosing my weight...There was a report 2 days later about this on abc 7 people would wake up and find food on there bed .....this is the truth. ## My kids say I eat the strangest variety of foods mixtures. I picked up a prescrition for ambien (zolpidem) The tablets looked differant than usual. The number on the tablet is w715 ## The way a tablet looks has nothing to do with what is in it. Each company that manufactures a medication will put a different marking on it and, in most cases, make a different looking tablet. Pharmacies tend to purchase their generics according to whomever offers the cheapest medication at the time they have to restock their supply. This tablet contains 10mgs of Zolpidem, a generic for Ambien.

I have been using Ambien for 10 years, but only when I travel, as I have difficulty sleeping in hotel rooms. I am sensitive to many common chemicals and the hotel room cocktail prevents natural sleep. I usualy break a 10mg pill into half or even thirds and that's enough for me. I have never had any grogginess the next day. This year, I tried the new generic Ambien on two business trips and I was completely whacked out; 5 mg was enough to make me groggy all day, and it was cumulative. It was terrible. After 5 days, I could hardly talk. So my doc switched me back to regular Ambien, but 5 mg tabs ... which are pink just like the generic. Packageing says it's ZORA 10. Anyone know what this is? As to whether or not they are safe, there is no way to know for sure since foreign drugs are not regulated like those in the U.S. Ordering them from a foreign country when they are not approved for sale here is illegal and you run the risk of them being seized by customs and having yourself fined. I took a urinalysis today and take Ambien. I am on some cardiac medications, synthroid, oxybutinin, and lipitor. The test came back positive. The other medications that I take are Tylenol #3 but I haven't taken for 3 or 4 months. Would the Ambien affect the outcome of the test: ## yes it would. I've failed drug tests for taking Ambien, as it shows up as a benzo. But if you have a prescription, you should be okay.

orange round; no imprint. supposed to be generic ambien from India?. ## Without an imprint, there is no way to be certain what this is, other than to have it lab tested, sorry. All prescription drugs sold legally in the US are required to have a unique imprint for ID purposes, however, foreign drugs are not regulated that same, so there is no way to tell for sure what they sent you.

It was used to replace stolen Ambien, unfortunately. ## You are very welcome. I have had pills stolen before. Time to get a lock box. A good, inexpensive solution. Wal-Mart and Target carry small Sentry Fire Safes, the perfect size for pills bottles and such and they are only $19.95.
