What is difference and are both as effective? ## They are the same medication, in the same dosage, just manufactured by different companies, so they are both equally effective. From what I could gather, the usual adult dose of Cephalexin (in the treatment of Cellulitis), is 500mgs orally every 6 hours, for up to 7-10 days. Depending on how severe each individual case is, other more powerful antibiotics may also be recommended, such as Vancomycin, Daptomycin, or Linezolid. the bottle states disguard after 01/04/14...that is 1 month 1 day past. is it still safe to take?
