ortho evra and bleeding 10 days before period

I am bleeding 9-10 days before period starts. The bleeding is brown, sometimes brown dry spotting or is brown and wet. It is light to medium bleeding. Enough to use a pantyliner. I get achy type of PMS pain and my ovary areas feel sensitive. I feel slightly fatigued. So it is similar PMS pain but to a lesser extent. This bleeding lasts about 1-3 days. What hormones of mine are off? Does ortho evra patch the reason for this? My real period comes on time, regular cycle of 28 days and lasts 4 days.
