All I.ve heard for years that I'm pre cancer for my uterus most GYN want me to take a progesterone for the rest of my life for the thick lining. Now for 3 weeks I've been back on it and for the last week I've started back spot bleeding which I'm not happy about so if I stop will I continue to spot bleed.. ## Hello, Joelin! How are you? I just stop taking Medroxyprogesterone 10mg. How long does it take to stop bleeding? I was given this medication because the lining of my uterus is a little thick. It will really depend on how thick the lining was and how long it takes to slough off. How long were you taking the medication and how long have you been bleeding, now?
