At 65 is it normal to have a thick lining in the uterus

All I.ve heard for years that I'm pre cancer for my uterus most GYN want me to take a progesterone for the rest of my life for the thick lining. Now for 3 weeks I've been back on it and for the last week I've started back spot bleeding which I'm not happy about so if I stop will I continue to spot bleed.. ## Hello, Joelin! How are you? I just stop taking Medroxyprogesterone 10mg. How long does it take to stop bleeding? I was given this medication because the lining of my uterus is a little thick.
