which is stronger hydrocodone 7.5/500mg oxycodone-acetaminophen 5-325 ## About the same as oxycodone is about 1.5 times stronger than hydrocodone. ## Regarding the analgesic effect, using a dose conversion, they are actually equivalent. Thus, it would really be a matter of finding out which one is more effective for you, since not every medication works for everyone that tries it. Since these are both narcotics, there is a chance that they could be habit forming and you may experience side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. my pain is too much to handle. the doctor cannot give me more than 30 tablets of hydrocodone/acetaminophen at a time. So I need to know how many Tylenol to take to help me. ## Hi Nikki, To my understanding, no amount of tylenol (acetaminophen) is equivalent to the effects of Hydrocodone, before experiencing what would be considered an overdose of acetaminophen - which can be extremely toxic to the liver. It sounds like your best bet would probably be to ask your doctor for a stronger pain medication (that you can take less of) or opt for a safer, more natural alternative that can be used as an adjunctive therapy to what you already take. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Hydrocodone Details I hope this helps! ...

substituted for vicodin is hydrocodone acetaminophen 5/500 white oblong shaped tablet imprinted with l544 and has an expiration date of 03/09/2013. Can this still be used safely? ## Hello, Zettie! How are you? White, oblong tablets with L544 on them are not Hydrocodone, nor any type of narcotic. These tablets are manufactured by Perrigo and they list them as containing 650mgs of Acetaminophen in an extended release formulation. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache. I have a pretty big tolerance and took thought that I needed to take around 10 to feel anything I then looked it up and am not sure if I should get help ## Hello, Dave! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects? Believe it or not, the biggest concern from taking that many is due to the Acetaminophen, not the narcotic Hydrocodone. Exceeding 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen in a day may cause liver damage, liver failure and risks fatal toxicity. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Medications shouldn't be taken just in the hopes of feeling something. If that's why you take something, then you may have a problem that needs... ...
