what pill is this? Is it Methenamine Hippur? 1 gram? ## No, the Hiprex tablet that contains Methenamine is yellow, oblong and has the marking MERRELL 277 on on side. Where was this obtained? Did it come from a pharmacy? I can't find anything that matches this in the U.S. prescription drug databases.

I am a 'youthful' 69 year old and have suffered with very regular UTIs all my life. I recently took a 10 day course of antibiotics (this finished 5 days ago) and then began taking Hiprex. I now feel that a UTI is developing once again. Does it take time for Hiprex to work? Please identify the following: White Oblong Tablet with imprint Cl 20 on one side, no other imprints on the otherside except a transverse line at the midsection. ## I'm sorry, but I can't find any listings for this in our U.S. prescription drug resources. This leads me to suspect that it may be something that is available over the counter, though there is also a small chance that it may be a foreign medication.
