Wanted to share with everyone how happy I am to have finally received the new generic Opana ER 20mg tablets from my pharmacy. I had found Opana to be very effective for my chronic pain and was very sad when they switched it over to the new formula as it wasn't nearly effective as the original octagon shaped tablets and caused stomach aches. These new generic ones seem to me to be as effective as the original formula had been. The tablets I received show to be made by Global Pharmaceuticals and are a small, round, green tablet with G73 imprinted on them. I'm happy to report that these are just like the original formula. Now I no longer have stomach aches from taking those plastic pills that Endo is selling. I sure do hope that these remain as they are, but I have read a couple ar...

ALL I WANT TO KNOW ARE THEY COMING OUT WITH 40MG OPANA IN GENERIC, NEED TO PAY LESS IT JUST TO MUCH MONEY. ## Yes they are and already started senting them out. Check Impax web site and call them. They will tell you. You may need to have your pharmacy order them. They are much cheaper. ## A lot of it is going to depend on when the supplier for your local pharmacy can get them in. Learn more Opana details here. Every pharmacy can only order a limited supply of each controlled substance each month, so if they've already stocked up on the name brand, they won't be able to order in the generic for you, yet. Under the new laws, there is nothing they can do about it. So, it may take a month or two, before they become available to you. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Has ...

I get the generic opana er 20 mg. They come like plastic. They are green, feel like plastic, say 20 on one side and E on the other. The plastic crap makes my stomach a mess. I have gastritis and sigmoiditits. Do I have to have my pills like plastic form? ## Hello, Dawn! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. It's not actually plastic, but the substance they use for the time released mechanism does irritate some people's gastrointestinal system. Want to see what I may be taking ## Hello, Tom! How are you? What are the markings on the tablet in question? There are far too many generic Opana available for me to be able to list a description or picture of all of them for you. However, the markings would enable me to identify it for you. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Has anyone been on the generic Opana ER that is being made by Global/Impax Pharmaceuticals long enough to give an honest opinion as to how much more effective they are then Opana? My pharmacist just ordered the oxymorphone ER's for me today. I haven't gotten any relief from Opana. I take 60mg of the ER's twice a day with 3, 10mg. oxymorphone pills for breakthrough pain. I'm getting more relief from the 10mg generics then I am with the 60mg ER's. Will I be able to just take the 40mg ER's without the added 20mg ER's? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!! ## Hi Bleegs, Based on my research, The Opana ER is an extended release; which means that the medication is being distributed in the body for up to 24 hrs. That is suppos...

As of june 26,2013 Do they still have available the generic opana 40mlg er on stock or backorder at pharmacies in Sacramento,ca.....?? ## Hi Frank, Unfortunately there's no real way of knowing what any pharmacies have in stock at any given moment. Inventories constantly change on a moment to moment basis as patients fill prescriptions and pick up orders. Calling them generally isn't recommend either, since many pharmacists are trained to say no to a stranger on the phone asking for narcotics. So one would essentially have to go in person (with your script in hand) to a particular pharmacy in order to ask if they have what you need in stock. I hope this helps! ## Yeah i do understand About people calling asking the pharmacy if they have a certain narcotic but they should be able ...

I am a long time pain suffering patient that still needs to work. And pay a lot for opana. What Pharmacies in Portland carry Generic Opana ? Actavis brand or other?. Someone please help. I'm currently experiencing severe sciatic pain and knee pain. ## I'm sorry, but there is no listing of pharmacies according to what they do or do not have in stock that I can refer to for you. Since this is a controlled substances that is very commonly abused, the only way to get an accurate answer would be to go into the pharmacies, with your prescription in hand and ask them if they carry the generic. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I c...

I have been taking the generic version of Opana er and the short active but at one location. Well I have now lost my medical insurance so I have to pay cash. I can not afford that but was checking out some of these discount cards and they have listed some of the normal pharmacy like CVS, Walgreen etc., but none off them will carry it. How can I find help to get them without paying such a high price. ## You can actually call 211 and ask for information on prescription help. They can direct you with some companies that actually send the medicine to you or pay the pharmacy. It varies with every med. I actually was approved for this for Opana but Doc changed my med. Good Luck. That stuff is EXPENSIVE!! ## Hi Janet, Sorry to hear about your situation. I noticed that you mentioned having chec...

I hav ben going to a pain clinic for quiet some time and have tried so many combinations of pain meds tht I'm about to give up. I've had 2 back surgeries and need another one but I refuse. I have heard tht the ( old) formulation of opanas are hitting the shells as a generic and I'm curious if anyone wood hav n e info. Thanks. Bigbird ## No, they wouldn't be hitting as a generic. They can still be dispensed to fill prescriptions, until a pharmacy runs out of any supply they already had on hand, but once they are gone, that's it. Learn more Opana details here. What is relevant here, however, is that the generics have not been reformulated, yet. The old formulation of Opana (octagonal) was far superior than oxycodone in relieving severe chronic pain. Opana is a time released medication that is extremely potent Because of people who abused it, several people died due to overdose. The FDA mandated that Opana be reformulated to deter abuse. The new Opana is, at least for me, totally ineffective although the extremely high cost remained. As of June 2013, there is a generic available although it is still outragesly expensive. ## And once again, what is relevant to you is not necessarily applicable to everyone else. While Opana may have worked better for you than Oxycodone, there are other people who didn't have good luck with it and got much better results from Oxycodone. Learn more Opana details here. I have a prescription for 20mg Opana ERs, and strongly desire to get the newer "generic" version. The "G 73" tablets work better for me, and are more inexpensive. My doctor has checked the product selection permitted box at the bottom of the actual prescription, which I thought meant that a generic version is allowed, but am still having problems. I have a friend that told me that the prescription must read "oxymorphone", and not "opana" in order to get the generic version. Is this true?!? ## No, it doesn't have to be written for the generic/active ingredient to get the generic. However, it depends on whether or not your pharmacy carries it. Have you asked the pharmacist? Did they tell you that they can't give you a generic? Learn more Opana detai...

I need a list of pharmacies in kpt,tn that carries generic opana er in 10mg and 15mg ## I used to be able to obtain Percocet 10/325 now my local drug stores carry Oxycodone which they say is exactly the same formula as the Percocet. I know the drug stores pay less for this substitute but the pills do not seem to work the same for my back pain. I live in Sonoma county and if any one knows a pharmacy that dispenses Percocet I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks. ## Anyone know a pharmacy around Knoxville, tn that carries oxymorphone 5 mg.? ## Have you tried red bali kratom? It works wonders & it's for pain.
