After gathering this information, I believe consuming folic acid from eating healthy foods is a superior alternative to any supplemental form. In my opinion It would be ok to take the two together. I think that most multivitamin supplements can be used for prenatal purposes, as long as it contains the ingredients you require. So just because a vitamin supplement isn't marketed as prenatal, doesn't necessarily mean that you cannot use it for that reason. Please feel free to post back your experience with using it as a prenatal vitamin and if you notice a difference when taking it or not.
