One would assume that with the recent result of this citrate many would strigger a whole bunch of little pharmacy companies to offer a kind of trial with various concentrates. Can I cause harm to my body if I accidentally took two extended-release Xeljanz 11 mg tablets? ## From what I could gather, Xeljanz (Tofacitinib Citrate) is immunosuppressive, which means that your immune system could potentially be compromised more easily with an increased dosage. However, if you are in otherwise good health, then I'm of the opinion that you should be fine after that second tablet wears off... Nevertheless, I would still encourage you to let your prescribing doctor and/or pharmacist know just to be on the safe side, since this would ultimately mean that you'd have 1 less tablet to take prior to getting a refill -and whether or not this is something you'd have to be concerned about as well? My doctor has prescribed Meloxicam & Xljanz. Are they safe taken together? ## Hi pinnie, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, there are no drug interactions listed between Meloxicam and Xeljanz (tofacitinib citrate). Based off this information alone, I wouldn't have any reason to believe that you couldn't take the two together... especially since your doctor prescribed them both to you at the same time. I can't blame you though for being extra cautious, as there have been who knows how many instances where doctors mistakenly prescribe two drugs that interact with one another. Hope this helps!
