I have a sister with a mental illness, who took serentil for years. It has been off the market for 6-7 years, she was never hospitalized when you was taking serentil. She has been on several medications by themselves and in conjunction with other drugs, and nothing seems to work well. She has been hospitalized at least 7 times since serentil was taken off the market. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or any knowledge about this drug or anything that might replace it. Thanks ## My son took Serentil and did well in combination with Tegretol. No other meds have done sd well. If you find a substitute or a good reply please let me know.
