I Took Reglan many many years, i was having problems with jaw legs teeth chattering etc didnt know why..Well now i know you are not suppose to take it over three weeks i would say at a time...well try 20 years...I WOULD not ever give this to a child or take when i was pregnant...ITS BEEN BLACKBOXED in 2009 by the FDA. Now i have bad TD and at times i cant use my hands plus i truly believe its the cause of alot of my stomach locking up on me. Just my opinion ## Yes, there is warning about taking Reglan longer than 12 weeks (3 months), due to the risk of it possibly causing an irreversible movement disorder. As to stomach issues, it really depends on what you had, before you started taking it, there is a warning that you shouldn't take it, if you have a stomach blockage, bleeding, or ...

Got switched from brand Reglan to Generic Metroclopram now it won't work. What can I do? ## There really is no difference between the brand and generic medications, other than the inactive ingredients and fillers that can determine how efficiently your body absorbs the drug. Apparently your body doesn't agree with the fillers in the generic version. I would suggest contacting your doctor who prescribed it; and improvise how the generic isn't working for you as well as the brand name; and that it could be due to the differences in inactive ingredients. Just being honest and open with your doctor should be enough to request a change. In the meantime however, depending on the reasons for your use of Metoclopramide; I think supplementing with powerful herbs such as Basil and Ore...

These are the small ones appx. 1/8 inch diameter. The other pills mixed with them are at least 1/4 inch in diameter white, round, and on one side say BL and on the other side have the number 93. My mother had these Domperidone prescribed to her by her gastroenterologist doctor. She has previously taken Reglan which caused her many problems with Parkinson-like symptoms about ten years ago. I was wondering if there is a good chance of her developing some of those symptoms again. Some of those symptoms from Reglan are finally starting to disappear. She is 79 years old and she does take Valium 2 mg. 3 x a day. If anyone knows anything, I would very much appreciate any information on this subject. After a year of severe nausea, bloating and GI discomfort, I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying.) My GE wanted to put me on Metaclopromide (Reglan), but I deferred because of the warnings of tardive dyskinesia and other nervous system problems. I did my research and found that Itopride was just as effective for motility without the nervous system or heart-rhythm problems found in Reglan and Domperidone, and I got him to prescribe it after signing a form acknowledging it was not approved in the USA by the FDA. I procured it from Asia through a Canadian pharmacy. I want to take it consistently for at least 3-4 weeks to see if it stimulates my gastric motility, but I'm experiencing some psychotropic side-effects that are hard to tolerate. Specifically, when it ...

pink capsule ## I was a hospice nurse years ago when pharmacies had to compound this 5 agent anti-nausea medication. They could make it in a capsule or suppository form. It contained: 10mg each of dexamethasone(Decadron) and motoclopramide(Reglan) 50mg of Dramamine,25 mg diphenhydramine(Benedryl) and 2mg of Cogentin. Originally used as an adjunct to chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting, it became a highly therapeutic choice for hospice patients as well. Hospice contined to use it even after Zofran was introduced because it was a much less expensive alternative. And highly effective! The 5 different drugs each target a different nausea mechanism in the body i.e. brain, stomach etc so the patient could get immediate relief without having to figure out which nausea center was being affe...
