My wife, age 63 has been on Oleptro Extended Release 150MG for 2 years for MDD (major depressive disorder). She takes one tablet at night before bed. It has been working well for her. However, when I went to get the refill her 30 day supply, Sam's Club said they could not get it because their supplier--Bergman--had it on back order with no specific time to supply. I checked with Randall's pharmacy who is supplied by Cardinal Health--same thing, backordered with no "fill" time. Checked with CVS and Kroger-McKesson is supplier--same thing, backordered. I was told by my pharmacy that they can no longer get this medicine but I have not seen anything online ## Hello, Joan! How are you? I'm not sure why this generic is no longer available, but a few other people have had similar problems. In most cases, they had to switch to Oleptro, which is a time released formulation of Trazodone. Have you consulted your doctor about the issue? The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes.

I was just given Oleptro 150mg and was told to crack it in half and take 75mg to take along with Wellbutrin 450 EX that I have been on for over a year. Is anyone else on this combination? I am concerned about weight gain which I have not had with Wellbutrin alone and I also dont want loss of sexual feelings which is also something that I have not had a problem with the Wellbrutin alone. I read one post that said there was a concern about this combination for seizures.? ## Oleptro contains the active ingredient Trazodone, an SARI antidepressant. this site is not familiar with your full medical history, so you should discuss your concerns with your doctor, however, the interactions do list a very small seizure risk when taking these medications together.
