While in Central America I was afflicted with a parasite infestation which threatened to block the colon. When bright red blood was passed, I sought medical help and was prescribed Nodik (nitaxonanide). This, thankfully, cleared the problem immediately. The nitrous drug floods the system and is absorbed into the gut, but it is claimed that it is rapidly excreted. Some months later my blood tested high in nitrites (carcinogenic). iS THIS DRUG SAFE FOR ANYONE AND WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS ## My mon, 89 years old, was diagnosed withblastocystis hominis ++ and hymenolepis nana. The doctor prescibed nodik 500 mgs but the effects are several bowel movements together with blood. Is this medicine OK for her? Shall I take her to the doctor inmediatly or shall I wait for another 12 hour result on her bowel movements.
