I was recently given a urine drug screen, followed by confirmation testing which detected 7-aminoclonazepam (Klonopin metabolite). I do NOT take Klonopin, so how is this possible? I am currently taking Methadone 49 mg once daily for Fibromyalgia pain management, Xanax (alprazolam) 2 mg twice daily for anxiety, and Lopressor (metoprolol) 25 mg once daily for Sinus Tachycardia. Occasionally, I take Naproxen 500 mg as needed for headache, Reglan (metoclopramide) 10 mg as needed for nausea, and Melatonin 10 mg as needed for sleep. Could any of the medications I take cause a false-positive 7-aminoclonazepam result?
