for back pain ## Glucosamine + Chondroitin is a joint supplement to promote healthy joints during exercise or daily activities in general. It is also used in the treatment of arthritis. Many health food stores and grocery stores carry this joint supplement combination. I cannot say whether or not it will help with back pain..... based on my personal experience with this, it doesn't seem as effective as one would think; but I would imagine one would have to be taking it for a while to notice some effects as compared to the immediate effects of pain medication. free flex forte is a combination of glucosamine sulfate potassium chlorate 500 mg and chonroitin sulphate 400 mg ## This is actually not a medication, it is a supplement, that contains Calcium, Chondroitin, Glucosamine and Vitamin C. The manufacturer name is listed as Universal. There are several websites that sell it, that will come up in a Google search. I do not, however, know the pricing or if you can have it shipped to India. It may be easier to just find an alternative that contains the same ingredients, there are many on the market. Any harlem in that? ## These are both just nutritional supplements, not actual medications, so they haven't been tested for possible interactions, as is done with prescription drugs, so unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any information about using these together. Was the doctor that told you to take it aware that you are already on the Glucosamine? I have a tub of Glucosamine Sulphate with expiry Jan 2013. Is it safe to use it still? ## From the information I've found, they just begin to lose potency after the expiration date, but aren't known to become dangerous. So, they may not be as effective as they were, when new. This is just a supplement, but the best thing you could really do would be to dispose of them and just purchase a new bottle. Please tell me if Glucosamine capsules contain steroids or not? ## Glucosamine is an over the counter supplement that is claimed to help with joint pain and mobility. It is not a steroid and if you have purchased the product over the counter it should not contain a steroid. There are, however, many of these products on the market, so I can't tell you anything about the ingredients, without knowing the specific one that you are asking about. for leg cramp ## Have you looked into trying Glucosamine supplements? Glucosamine + Chondroitin is a joint supplement to promote healthy joints during exercise or daily activities in general. It is also used in the treatment of arthritis. Many health food stores and grocery stores carry this joint supplement combination. You can view more information in the link below... There is also Glucosamine + MSM, which may be worth researching as well. These supplements however take time to build up in your system, so you may or may not notice it working for a while. My suggestion other than that is to stretch at least 30 minutes a day and drink lots of water. Please post back if you have any other questions or concerns.

Was given a steroid injection for right knee pain & was given lodine 2x daily & took glucosamine chondroitin with msm. Felt better in 2 weeks.
