Cholestyramine distributed by apothecon - Does Blue Cross cover this medication? ## Does cholestyramine come in pill form? ## I have never seen it as a pill form. I have been taking it for 18 years daily. ## Can you tell me how much this product would cost without insurance? Also is there a way to legally donate this medicine if the product is no longer needed?

I have been using Cholestyramine powder for a long time for digestive problems. It works great, now my prescription provider will not cover it but will cover Cholestyramine Light. Is there a difference and what is it? ## Cholestyramine Light is just one of a few brand names for Cholestyramine. They do contain the same ingredient, but may be used in a different manner than the powdered form. I haven't been able to confirm if the Light version is an oral tablet or something else. User guidelines note that: Cholestyramine is available as powder form, in 4 gram packets, or in larger canisters.
