I have recently started taking Diethylpropion and I am experiencing some dizziness. Has this happened to anyone else and how long does it last? ## In the U.S. it is most commonly known as Amfepramone, it is a stimulant that is most commonly used to aid in weight loss. And yes, dizziness is a very common side effect of it, along with nausea, dry mouth, irritability, and insomnia. Usually, most side effects taper off in severity once your body gets used to a medication, but that can take about 3 to 4 weeks. Are you on any other medications?

Yes, you should be concerned, stop taking it and have yourself checked out by your doctor. Make sure to tell them that you were taking this. The FDA lists this as containing the active ingredient Amfepramone. It is a stimulant medication, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and it can cause some serious side effects, such as elevated heart rate and elevated blood pressure, which could put you at risk of a heart attack or stroke. Please let me know where I can find them. ## Hi victoria, If you're referring to the diet pill IFA-Norex (Anfepramona), I believe this particular brand is only available in Mexico. So you would essentially have to get it there if you want to legally possess it w/ out a prescription. There are however American versions of this drug that you may want to look into. Other US names include: Amfepramone, diethylcathinone, diethylpropion, Anorex, Linea, Nobesine, Prefamone, Regenon, Tepanil, Tenuate You could also try asking various pharmacies if they have carry any of the medications listed above. The only thing is, you may need a valid prescription. I hope this info helps!

red capsule, no markings, oblong ## I don't know if it is the same as the one I'm taking. I am taking anfepramona which is a diet pill, but it is green. It sounds the same but mine was prescribed by a doctor in Mexico.

diethylpropion or amfepramona is it on DOT drug test ## Amfepramone can show up as Amphetamines on a drug test, because it is distantly related to them. If you have a prescription for it, you should inform them of that, when you have the test performed. Are there any other questions or comments?
