Topical anti-tumor medication ## What is aldara used for? What are the side effects? ## My GP is pressuring me to use Aldara on multiple skin cancers on arms and legs caused by autoimmune meds eg Azathioprine. I have resisted so far but because of the numbers, he is saying “ I can’t keep chopping these out there are too many” The specialist will not reduce or stop the Aza even though my blood readings are very good. 2 and a half years I have suffered from taking Aldara. The muscle and nerve damage has disabled my left arm. My hips, knees, elbows, have all been compromised. I suffer gland and throat swelling when bitten by an insect. I have lost 80% of my physical strength. I have a problem, at first it started as pimples and then later on it became warts - when I went see a dermatologist she told me I suffer from molluscum. she has prescribed aldara but the warts are getting worse before being better. The best thing to do would be to see your doctor to discover what has caused the rash and find out what the appropriate treatment would be. If Canex V is used inappropriately, it could actually make it worse. The FDA lists its typical side effects as including skin redness, dryness and irritation. I used aldara and have surffered from many side effects for the past two years. I have had constant muscle, joint, bone and skin pain for two years. I also suffered from digestive disorders including severe constipation. I have also had problems with my blood pressure and fainting. I was wondering if anyone else out there suffered from injuries like mine. I am signed in for a class action suit. Just wondering how many others have had this sort of problems after using aldara. ## Also I was treated for Afib before using aldara, but it was controlled with meds. I am on probation and take saliva swabs to detect recent drug use. I passed every test for a year straight. Then i failed for cocaine. However i have not even seen cocaine in 5 years and have been clean from heroin, my drug of choice, for almost 3 years. Im currently on suboxen for opiate maintenance, prozac for depression and adderall for add. I just learned i have had hpv for a couple years and have had an outbreak of warts within past few months. I have been prescribed aldara, but after i already failed test. My question is will any of these medications cause this? Can complications of the hpv cause my body to produce some chemical or metabolite similar to cocaines? Any information would be greatly appreciated as my freedom is at stake!
