Dextropropoxyphene[3] is an analgesic in the opioid category, patented in 1955[4] and manufactured by Eli Lilly and Company. It is an optical isomer of levopropoxyphene. It is intended to treat mild pain and also has antitussive (cough suppressant) and local anaesthetic effects. I have had fibromyalgia for 25 years. When I was first told I had fibromyalgia it was called fibrosis. I had been taking wygesic for years. It is the only medicine that helps me. Do you know where I can still fill a prescription for wygesic? Thank you. ## Since Propoxyphene (one of the active ingredients in Wygesic) is a narcotic pain-reliever requiring a prescription, I think your best bet would be to contact a local pharmacy regarding its availability. If your Dr. wrote a script for this medication then any pharmacy can also order it for you at their discretion. I would just encourage you to check with more than one pharmacy (maybe a big chain store along with a mom & pop pharmacy) to ensure that you're getting the best price and customer service.
