i have stopped taking propranolol 80mg 3days ago and would like to know if there is any side effects coming off them ## I had problems just stopping cold turky after one doctor told me it would be ok, i felt panicky and anxious. Another doctor said to reduce the dose slowly over time or i will get withdrawal syptoms, One day on, one day off (2 weeks)then one day on two days off (2 weeks) so on, i still had problems and had to do it over the space of months. I am now down to one morning dose a day and ready to stop completely (after 6 months) and am feeling ok ## Any drug or substance that you take into your body for a prolonged period of time will cause some mild withdrawal symptoms if you abruptly stop using it, even if they don't consider it addictive. I've been taking the Pliva 467 for almost 15 years. Now they did away with the 467 and i got the P10. I start them tomorrow but I'm afraid. Are they the same? ## Hi Joyce - I understand your concerns, especially if the Pliva version (50111-467) has been working for you all this time. To answer your question, they both contain Propranolol Hydrochloride 10 mg. The P 10 version appears to be manufactured by Heritage Pharmaceuticals (NDC code 23155-110). Can Propranolol Help Me Sleep
14 Replies RSS
Having trouble sleeping at night and was wondering if propranolol would help as they slow your heart beat? ## No, it is not safe to try to use them to induce sleep. Propranolol can cause some drowsiness as a side effect, but it is actually most commonly used to help lower high blood pressure and improper use of it can be dangerous, due to the fact that it can lower your heart rate and blood pressure. You can learn more Propranolol details here. Thus, the first thing you need to do is get to the root of the problem. What is causing you to have trouble sleeping? Have you tried cutting out stimulants after 3pm, such as caffeine, chocolate and sugars? Do you keep a consistent bedtime and wake time? ## Propranolol can help some people sleep, particularly if their lack of sleep is due to anxi...

round blue ## What does 895 do? Any withdraw symptoms, blue pill, what does it do? ## I cannot find a listing that matches these descriptions. Is it possible that the marking is PLIVA 468? Can you please double check and post back? If so, Pliva lists the tablet as containing 20mgs of Propranolol, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and some cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

Coming off propranolol 80mg
Post a Reply
I've been taking propranolol 80mg once a day for over 2 years for anxiety that caused me to have severe chest pain and to feel dizzy. It definitely made me feel better but the cause of my anxiety was due to where i worked and now I have moved work to somewhere that is a big advocate of helping employers with mental health. This has greatly helped the mental side of my anxiety so now I want to stop taking them before I become too dependent on them. What I want to know is are the side effects you get from it really bad or does it depend on the person. I dont want to stop and all the feelings i used to get come rushing back. Thank you for any advice.

propranolol and or Inderal Help
14 Replies RSS
Hi I need help. Ive been getting regular and optical migrains since I was 19, I am now 45. About 6 months ago I sadly went to walmarts 60 mg inderal tablets to save as I am struggeling instead of my regular inderal 60 mg capsule LA that I have been taking most my life, but the past few months the optical migrains were happening every few days instead of say once a month or so. I went back to the capsules Oct. 17th almost 2 weeks ago and I am still getting the optical ones every few days. Yes there is a lot of stress in my life but there always has been. I even quit smoking its almost a year. I eat right some times not enough I am 5 7 about 130 and I exercise. My eyes were checked and found to be good. Why is this happening? Is it normal for the capsule to take more time to get back in m...

What Is Pur Bloka Used For
16 Replies RSS
Why is Pur bloka being used in the treatment of migraine and Anachroid cyst? ## Pur-Bloka contains the active ingredient propranolol hydrochloride, in doses of 10 or 40mg tablets. Propranolol Hydrochloride's principal effect is to reduce the response of the heart to stress and exercise and it reduces blood pressure in patients with hypertension. The indications for this drug however, have no apparent relation to Arachnoid cysts or migraine headaches. The only conclusion I can reach is that Propranolol may help with specific symptoms or your body's response to such conditions; possibly allowing your body to relax when either of these conditions could make someone restless with insomnia. Just a thought.. but I hope this helps! Have you discussed this yet with any doctor or physici...

What is stronger: Propranolol 20mg or Oxycontin? ## Hi rose, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but Propranolol and Oxycontin are two completely different medications. One is for high blood pressure and one is for pain relief, so there's really no logical way to compare their efficacy. You also can't compare two medications without knowing the dosage of both of them. Just saying one is more potent than the other still leaves me wondering what you might be referring to with regards to potency? Learn More: Propranolol Details Oxycodone Details Please post back if you can clarify any of the above information.
