Inserting the glenmark clotrimazole suppository

Hi. I went to the clinic for an infection and they gave me glenmark clotrimazole - 1 vaginal tablet. So I did use it yesterday night but today in the morning it came back out like a discharge; it was indeed the tablet that came out like a liquid. So I want to know if it's normal or if I didn't administer it properly? ## Hello, Zinlhe! How are you? Sorry about the infection. Yes, any time you use something like this that you insert vaginally, there will be some that is discharged, that is normal. It really just isn't possible for all of it to be absorbed. Some of the discharge may even have been due to the infection itself. If your symptoms don't go away in a few days, you should return to the clinic for a follow up. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I just inser...

That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. The only thing I can suggest is that you try asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information. ## One product we found is called Gelmicin, a topical antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antifungal. These products are normally sold separately in the US, whether for i...

Expired clotrimazole

Have a tube of Clotrimazole Beta. Dipro. cream, 1%. Don't know how long I've had it and can't interpret date code on end of tube. It is 669K 00T12 -- please tell me what the expiration date is. ## Look at the metal end of the tube and you will see the expiration date. You may need a magnifier. It is etched. ## Bob, can you see the manufacturer name on there anywhere? If so let me know, maybe it would be possible to contact them with that lot # and they could know the date based on that? And Jasmine's suggestion is probably right too, any luck with that? Interested to know either way. ## I posted the "Exp. date" etched on the end of the tube. But it's not a date! My question is, what does it translate into, datewise? Guess I'll have to query the mfr. ## Mf...

Candid B Cream

What would happen if candid b cream is accidentally ingested? ## Candid B is a local "skin application" that consists of Clotrimazole and betamethasone; it is effective for localized fungal infections such as Ring worm. I don't think ingesting the cream is a very good idea to say the least and may even cause more harm than good since it is not an oral medication. Keep in mind that Candid B is not effective in widespread fungal infections. For wide spread fungal infections one would need to take "oral" anti-fungal treatments. In addition, it is not very effective in fungal infection of the nails. As far as side effects go, Clotrimazole and Betamethasone can cause skin irritation. Some people can get allergic reactions but it is quite rare. Mild burning sensation, redn...
