From what I could gather, every 5 mL (teaspoon) of Promethazine VC Syrup is listed as containing: 6.25 mgs of Promethazine hydrochloride + 5 mgs of Phenylephrine hydrochloride + Alcohol 7%

NOTE (neither drug is an opiate):
-Promethazine is in a class of drugs called antihistamines.
-Phenylephrine is in a class of drugs called nasal decongestants.

I'm unaware of all the different colors that may be available, but for your own verification, the inactive ingredients present in this particular product are: "Apricot peach flavor, ascorbic acid, citric acid, FD&C yellow #6, menthol, methylparaben, propylene glycol, propylparaben, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate and sucrose."

I hope this helps!
