With Regard To Evening Meal Dosing Instruction.

I see the instruction for taking Xarelto with the evening meal. But by extensive reading of the subject online I cannot find a reason. Or for the need to take with food.
Because of my living condition it would be much more convenient to take at lunchtime with less chance of forgetting a dose.

The reason that it's taken with the evening meal is that they've found that taking it at any other time seems to decrease its efficacy, though they aren't sure why this occurs.

However, it is known that our bodies do change somewhat throughout the day and react differently throughout.

Thus, it is advisable to take it with your evening meal, just as instructed.

I was told to take Xarelto in the evening since you are less likely to have an accident that causes bleeding in the first twelve hours. Since there is no approved antidote you are more likely to not have to wait as long before your blood coagulates in the event of a bleeding incident.
