I'm suppose to take this medicine for 3 days twice a day. Is that enough time to clear up my UTI??

Hi diamond,

According to Wiki, the usual adult dose of nitrofurantoin for a urinary tract infection can be 100 mg two times daily, or 50 mg four times daily for seven days.

However, in less severe cases, the dosage can actually be prescribed for as little as 3 days. That should be plenty of time to clear up a UTI if it really is acute.

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Nitrofurantoin Details

I hope this info helps!
