@sangita,

AMC 500 reportedly contains 500mgs of amoxicillin + 125mgs of clavulanate potassium, which is used for treating a variety of bacterial infections (including skin infections).

I don't know if your pimples are the result of a skin infection, but if they are, then that would probably explain why your doctor prescribed it to you.

As far as side effects are concerned, are you currently experiencing any symptoms from taking this antibiotic or are you just curious about what potential side effects can happen? Please post back in a little more detail and I'll see what I can do to help!
