Hello, Daniel! How are you? Sorry for your confusion, I'm happy to clear this up for you.

Yes, a tablet matching this description is listed as containing 15mgs of Olanzapine, the active ingredient in Zyprexa.

Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes and somnolence.

Is there anything else I can help with?

Thanks Verwon.

I've been meaning to reply to my own question before now. I talked to the pharmacist regarding my concern. She double checked what she had on the shelf to be what I had been given. She also said that it (Zyprexa) had recently gone "multi source generic", which would explain the change. Apparently, when a drug first goes generic, usually only one manufacture makes the generic. Eventually, it goes multi-source, which opens the door for more manufactures to compete. The active ingredient is guaranteed to be the same, but not the non-active ingredients may vary.

BTW, is there a formal registry for pill descriptions available to the public, or do I have to rely on broad web searches the way I have? How did you confirm this one?

Thanks, Daniel
