Hello, Randy! How are you doing?

Yes, the stronger a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory is, the more harsh it is on both the stomach and liver, such effects also become more pronounced and risky with long-term use, as reported by the FDA.

That said, you can certainly try natural remedies, that is your choice, but the whole reason they aren't called medications is due to the fact that they have not actually been proven to do what is claimed. Some people do have good luck with them, but there are very good reasons that they are not FDA approved to treat anything.

If you are interested in trying them, you may want to consult a Homeopath that specializes in them.

Does anyone else have any advice or ideas that may help?

Hi been taking Meloxicam almost every day either 7.5 twice a day once a day for two years then I started going to a chiropractor and he got me on taking glucosamine and chondroitin and msm that helps him with the pain so I could cut the dose down in half on the meloxicam but everything I could read says don't take it every day for long periods of time so my chiropractor gave me some bcm95 turmeric Supposed to take two tablets a day tablets or 500 mg haven't took them yet I went to my doctor showed him the pills he told me he wasn't a big fan of those type of pills and that you should just stay on the Meloxicam can anybody tell me why a doctor would be so against these pills and to stay on that medicine that you're not supposed to keep taking over every day also one of the things I worry about is I have a little bit of GER D and I just wondered if these would make it worse or make it better or my just going to have to try them on my own and see if anybody has any answers please let me know thank you or if you know anybody I can contact to find out the real truth it please let me know
