Incivek Side Effects (Page 2)

Male, age 56 here. I was on the Incivek treatment plan and am here to report that I almost died at 9 weeks of treatment.

I am new to posting on blogs....but my husband has been on incivek now for 9 weeks.. his first viral load count went from millions down to 17...so we thought his treatment was working. ..then we just got the phone call from his treatment nurse that his viral load is up to 717...he is going to continue his three weeks of treatment out..but should we be prepared that this result means it is not going to work? Has anyone else had this experience?

I have heard all the horror stories so I want to provide you with my experience. Had Hep C for almost 40 years. Tried the 2 drug treatment years ago to no avail. With the new 3 drug therapy I was undetected after 4 weeks. The have been side effects, but not that bad. Fatigue is the primary although I had rectal issues the first couple of weeks. No rash what so ever. Be very diligent about the timing, fat content and doses taken as it matters. I am entering week 6 and am keeping my fingers crossed the above continues. Keep the faith and for you thinking about treatment, it may not be that bad. Still a long time to go but so far so good.
