I have to take a blood drug test. I was given 800mg ibuprofen tablets. Is this a controlled substance? Do I need to worry about not passing the drug test?
I have a drug test tomorrow. It will have a positive result for percocet 10, but if I take an 800 mg ibuprofen will it also show up?
These questions confuse me.
Ibuprofen is merely an OTC pain reliever. It's an NSAID. It's not a controlled substance. It's the active ingredient in Aleve® and Advil®.
There is no reason a pain management doctor or probation officer should care whether or not there is ibuprofen in your system. That being said, they likely wouldn't even bother checking for it in the lab work.
Re: Mason (# 3)
Correction on my previous post. I meant Motrin® not Aleve®. Aleve® is Naproxen not Ibuprofen.
