I am getting some facial work done(face lift) and they gave me a script for hydrocodone

Hi Betty,

From what I understand, Hydrocodone is just a synthetic derivative of codeine; so it does not contain the actual substance.

If your doctor/surgeon was aware of this allergy prior to writing your script, then it's likely that he/she did so with your best interest in mind.

People who are allergic to codeine usually have no problems with Hydrocodone.

Is this your first time having to take this drug?
