Two days ago I had the worse headache in my life. I am 28 yrs old. My Dr. prescribed 500mg pills called "Dipirana". It made me extremely dizzy. What is "Dipirana" and what are its side effects?

Dipirona contains the active ingredient Metamizole, which is used to alleviate pain and spasms.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation.

Jamz, how are you doing? Such side effects are usually temporary and go away, once your body gets used to the medication.
