PB Says:

If taking for BiPolar condition, dosages may depend on what other medications are being taken for BiPolar and what dosages give you the appropriate level. A level that is too high or low can creep up on a patient and the patient may need help from relatives in determining symptoms of bipolar or high dosages. It can also be affected by medication being taken for other mental conditions.

i,ve been taking 2000 mg of depakote for several years.
i don,t think it hurt you,i use to drink alcohol,but i quit
because depakote and alcohol don,t mix.the next morning after i got wasted on alcohol i felt very much out of control and anxous aspecially when driven a car,but i got back to normal again when i quit drinking alcohol and stayed on my depakote,it took about 3 days to get back to feeling right again.i quit drinking alcohol now for 60 days,i don,t feel any better but i will stop drinking anyways,i,ve been a alcolholic for 25 years i got very drunk ,GOD must have took care of me.its a merical im still alive and its a crime for the law to let alcolhol and cigs be legal, because of the taxes, but the police and corp america as always put a price tag on a life.i like our president also, make the rich pay there share of the taxes, they can afford it without doing without.
