what are the side effects of concore core 2.5 and should it be taken instead of lopressor.and how can i know if its going o.k with my body withoit any problems

Hi,
My mother is taking Concor, but she was left without any pills. She is not a US citizen. How can I get her a refill ? Does she have to go to a doctor in the US, to get the prescription? Can Carvedilol substitute Concor?
