Brown Pill With M D 27

The pharmacy gave it as a substitute for methylphenidate 27 mg. It's round and brown with md 27 on it but i have no info i can find on this.

Interestingly enough, I located a Methylphenidate hydrochloride ER (27mg) pill with an imprint of "[M] 27", made by Mallinckrodt; which is a grey capsule-shaped tablet, but found nothing on the imprint "md 27"...

I went through every Methylphenidate pill image on Mallinckrodt's product list and am not seeing anything with the description or imprint you've been handed. If I were you I'd consider taking the pill over to a different pharmacy for a second opinion, where perhaps they can provide you with more specific details on who makes it and what it actually contains...

That pill is a new concerta generic, recently approved by the FDA. It's by Mylan pharmaceuticals. I was just given this by my pharmacy, too. If you don't mind my asking, how has yours worked for you? Part of me is scared this generic won't work the same. I like concerta because it's side effects are almost non-existent for me, and because it works for 10-12 hours. I can hardly find any information or reviews on this new generic, so I'm curious to hear your experience. I'll try it out for a few days and post my experience with it, too.
