Based on what you've stated, yes that is correct. Unless you're getting a good counterfiet from off the street, the drug imprint along with the matching physical description proves that they are chemically the same drug and should also contain the same set of inactive ingredients as well (regardless of who prescribes them).

Posted below are the inactive/non-medicinal ingredients found in this blue "2684 V" pill:
calcium stearate, silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate,
microcrystalline cellulose, and FD&C Blue No. 1

I hope this info helps!

Hi Tim,

Just to confirm what your vet said, a round blue pill marked with a "V" on one side and "2684" on the other side (sitting above a score line), reportedly contains 10mgs of Diazepam - otherwise known as Valium.

For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Qualitest; and this pill also carries a National Drug Code of 00603-3215.

Did the vet give you proper dosing instructions for your dog? I don't know how animals react to these kinds of meds in comparison to humans, so I find it odd that they would prescribe your dog the same exact pills designed for human consumption.

so a pill that says 2684 v light blue in color next to another pill that says 2684 v light blue in color both small round pills are exactly the same chemically regardless off who prescribed them a doctor or an animal vet?
