What's the accuracy in a blood test for xanax?

My doctor asked me to get a xanax level check an have to get blood work. Is it to see how much I take or how long I've been taking them?

A blood test will only be able to tell the past ~3 days of usage. They are seeing if you are abusing the pills. If you are then simply don’t take any Xanax for a day or so before the test if there is not enough Xanax in your system simply say you skip taking it when possible.
