Some research has indicated that Azogen contains the active ingredient Phenazopyridine, which is used to alleviate the pain, irritation, discomfort, or urgency caused by urinary tract infections, surgery, or injury to the urinary tract.

It appears to be available in a number of countries outside the United States and goes under numerous brand names. For more details about this medication including possible side effects please see:

Today In Mexico I bought, what I thought was an antibiotic, for a urinary tract infection. It's called AZOGEN. From what I read it isn't an antibiotic but a pain killer for UTI. Is this correct?

i did the same thing, did you find out if it was just treating the uncomfort or actually treating the infection?
