Hello, Jill! How are you?

The dosage of this antibiotic for children can vary, depending on the severity of the infection being treated, as well as the child's weight, so it should be given according to their doctor's prescribing instructions.

It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Is there anything else I can help with?

My daughter 8 y.o weight 77lbs have ear infection AOM with Pharyngitis, dr prescribe 1400mg x2 per day meaning 1400mg 12 hourly for 7 days.

I think its too much, I believe max only 1400mg for 1 day which is around max 500mg per 8 hourly.

Kindly help to confirm what I am doing is correct, as I don't trust this dr, and lots of kids with kidney failure nowadays, also 1 of them from this hospital.

Please help to answer as he said if I don't give my daughter will have serious case, while my daughter have no pain at all at this moment, just because she had fever which can be due to her sore throat and cough too.

Thank you for your help
