Are there any other questions?

I am currently taking 50mg of Zoloft and .5-1mg of lorazepam a day. I have been having bad insomnia, so can I take the 50mg dose of zzzquil to help me sleep? ## From what I could gather, each of these medications list the same type of drug interaction. The following precautions apply to: Lorazepam + Zoloft (sertraline); Lorazepam + ZzzQuil (diphenhydramine); and ZzzQuil (diphenhydramine) + Zoloft (sertraline) "Using any of these drugs together may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. I...

round blue pill, scored on one side with number 13 on it. on other side is a marking that looks almost like an awareness ribbon with a dash next to it ## recieved info of a small blue pill with 13 on the side of the pill the kids are calling them blue 13. I have not been able to locate a pill at this time. do you have any idea of what they are ## noo it just has a number 13 on one side and the other side is blank like the pill is all blue ## Thats exactly what my cousin is prescribed... its xannex ## I'm pretty sure it's Zoloft. ## The one with just the number may possibly be an 81mg Aspirin tablet, there are some that match that description and they are tiny, so often hard to read. It's the dosage that's available over the counter and commonly used for heart health and ...

Dextroamp Amphet Er 30 mg combined with Zoloft 25 mg for a twelve year old boy with suspected ADHD. What will the results be? ## Hopefully this boy hasn't already taken the combination, as there are potentially dangerous interactions listed between these two medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Talk to your doctor before using sertraline together with amphetamine/dextroamphetamine. Sertraline can increase the effects of amphetamine, and side effects such as jitteriness, nervousness, anxiety, restlessness, and racing thoughts have been reported. Combining these medications can also increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called the serotonin syndrome, which may include symptoms such as confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes ...

Does any one else with treatment resistant major depression have the same problem? It's making my anxiety through the roof. I didn't have anxiety before I was put on 25mg of Zoloft. It's horrible I feel like I'm having a heart attack and my jaw is clenched so tight I'm taking 800mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours with not much relief. When are doctors gonna realize, SSRI meds do NOT work for everyone and when I say I've already tried 25 meds for this & they didn't work, things aren't gonna suddenly change the second time around?? Geeze! ## If your doctor isn't listening to you, then you might need to try a different doctor. But are you making sure that they get copies of your medical records, so they can see what other medications you've already tr...

I stopped taking Effexor 75 mg on Tuseday and started Zoloft 100 mg on Wednesday. I felt sick all day life the flu, I then took 100 Zoloft on Thursday and still feel sick, and I did throw up earlier. I really feel like I'm going through withdrawals from something. I am also taking 50 mg of Trazodone. I started that this Wednesday. I have been on 1 mg of Klonopin for years. What is going on? ## Ideally, it would have been best to slowly taper down on the Effexor, while going up on the dose of the Zoloft. Since you didn't do that, you just stopped taking it, you are likely experiencing some withdrawal/rebound effects. Learn more Zoloft details here. Have your symptoms improved any?

I started 100mg zoloft for 3 days then 100mg twice a day. Sees like too much for me. Its only been a week so can I just stop taking it safely? ## I would think that you should be fine since it's only been a week; however, I know everyone responds to these types of drugs differently, so I can't say for certain that you wont experience any withdrawal symptoms. If you do feel the need to take it slower, usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. I hope this info helps! ## i stopped taking effexor 75mg on tuseday an...

will it be ok for me to stop taking 50ml zoloft.i have only taken it for 3 days and cant stand the sweats. ## There shouldn't be a problem if you have only been taking it for 3 days. In order for it to cause issues when you stop taking it abruptly, you usually have to have been taking it for a long period of time. Learn more Zoloft details here. You may, however, still experience some mild withdrawal symptoms. Have you talked to your doctor about the sweating? ## I was perscribed zoloft a week ago.100 mg for 3 days then 100mg twice a day. This seems high. I dontlike side effects. Can I stop cold turkey

I Was Put On Zoloft And Xanax But Have Recently Stopped Taking Both Because Need To Find A Jobhow Long Before It Is Out Of My System ## If you have a valid prescription for them, then there is no need to stop either one, just because you are job hunting and may be drug tested. They cannot deny you the use of legally prescribed medications, except in certain very rare instances, so you simply need to inform them of what you are taking, when you are tested. Learn more Zoloft details here. Learn more Xanax details here. Additionally, the Zoloft contains the active ingredient Sertraline, which is an SSRi antidepressant and is not something that would be tested for on a standard drug test anyway, so your stopping it is really unnecessary. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is there any cold medicine I can take that won't have an adverse effecct while taking Zoloft. Couldn't take Nyquil. ## I have passed out two times taking Nyquil along with Zoloft......One time at the dinner table and another time at Walgreens and in my car......My cardiologist took me off Zoloft cold turkey.......I never knew I suffered from anxiety and depression and why my internal med doctor even put me on Zoloft......I passed out on this medicine even when I wasn't taking Nyquil......I have not passed out in over one year now since my cardiologist took me off Zoloft. ## Yes, unfortunately, some medication cause synergistic reactions between each other and aggravate the side effects. SSRI antidepressants are particularly bad for this. The main problem with cold medication...

how to take zoft ## NBNNN----- ## I'm sorry, but did you mean Zoloft, which contains the active ingredient Sertraline, which is an SSRI antidepressant? If so, you should follow your doctor's instructions for dosing and it is usually taken once daily. If your doctor hasn't been specific, then you should pick a time that's convenient for you and when you'll remember to take it, such as when you wake up in the morning. It can cause some drowsiness as a side effect, so if you have a problem with that, it may be necessary to take it at bedtime. Learn more Zoloft details here.

I am taking Divalprox 250mg tablets in 750mg doses. I also take Seroques 50mg and Zoloft 150mg. I have been having pain in my knees when I walk from a sitting position and. I have severe pain and numbness in my little finger and the two next to it at the knuckle to the point where it feels tight and hurts to make a fist. Could this be a side effect of my medication? ## Have you consulted your doctor? This medication combination can increase the risk of some problems, such as hyponatremia, or neuroleptic malignant syndrome, so you should consult your doctor to get to the root of the problem. ## This was very helpful. I will make sure to request a blood test to measure the level of sodium in my blood as well as to question the combination of medications I am on. Thank you.

I'm wondering why i was given this medication for sinus headaches. I am taking 100mg Zoloft and am wondering if this will cause any side effects or any things i should be concerned about. I suffer from anxiety and do not like to take medications if possible. I guess i could say I'm having anxiety about taking this medication. ## If you have anxiety, you were probably prescribed the Zoloft for that reason and your doctor said it was for your sinus headaches. Side effects are WEIGHT GAIN, diarrhea, back pain to name a few. Zoloft is a helpful drug when you need it for depression/anxiety or OCD. Getting off of it is the problem! People try to wean off of it within a couple days or weeks. That doesn't work!!!! It took me six months!!!!! The side effects can be crippling but if y...

I have been put on CymGen 30 but reading what some experts say Zoloft might be better. I also take Xanor 0.5mg and Atavan SL 1mg when I get panicky. Do you think I am on the right meds. ## What you really have to discuss with your doctor is what is the right medication for you. What the experts say is better for certain people and for certain conditions, may not be what's right and best for everyone. How is the CymGen working for you so far?

Can I take alka seltzer plus cold medicine while on zoloft? ## Hi christee, Are you aware that there have been Zoloft recalls/lawsuits on television? Just wanted to briefly mention that in case you didn't know... Regarding these two medications, there is an interaction between the Chlorpheniramine found in Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold and Zoloft (sertraline). This interaction notes the following: "MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients. MANAGEMENT: During concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression." While it does...

My Psychiatrist has me on 200 mg. of zoloft and I'm, being tapered (my choice) off of klonipin--currently 1mg. I'm terrified of getting serotonin syndrome! I was also on trazodone to help me sleep until I read about ser. syndrome. So now, I just deal with the insomnia. Anyone else have this terror? ## It is a very rare occurrence, so not something that you should genuinely be terrified about. The Zoloft contains the active ingredient Sertraline, which is an SSRI antidepressant and there is as much a chance of it causing serotonin syndrome as there was with the Trazodone. Have you discussed these concerns with your doctor?

I need to find an antidepressant/mood regulator that does`nt contain cornstarch as a filler. I`ve been taking Zoloft 50mg for several years but really need to change to another but all seem to have cornstarch now. Even Zoloft says it does but the 50mg seems to be ok still but not working so good! ## Your best bet is to check with your pharmacist. By using the allergy records in their computer, they can check anything you are possibly prescribed against that data and try to pinpoint one that doesn't contain it. Unfortunately, I cannot do this for you, because there are far, far too many formulations on the market, both name brands and generics. Have you also asked your doctor to look into it?

cannot find any info. on the web about this medication. I have been taking a low dose 20 mg. for a few months and seems to work very well. It is prescribed due to family history of depressive/anxiety disorder and recent stressors in my life. I have a friend who was put on zoloft and she is wondering if this may be a better option? ## The correct medication name is actually Citalopram, it's an SSRI antidepressant, so it's in the same class as the Sertraline in the Zoloft. Therefore, their actions are very similar and so are the side effects, which may include: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. There is also no way to say which would be the better the option for any given person, because medications can affect everyone differently. Thus, what works for you may not w...
