Worldwide Stem Cell Spine Treatments Costs And Sucesses
(Newest replies first)

Updated

Please add any knowledge you have sharing or comparing different nation's medical stem cell treatments for spinal conditions as I wish to consider all medical tourism options.

Im dealing with a radial tear and herniation L5/S1, a pinched nerve T4/5 and major T compression which has resulted in relatively recent herniated and painful T6/7. I feel as if the compression is overwhelming my thoracic. I have degenerative disc disease atop the herniations.

I have to decompress the thoracic every 30 minutes and when I bend forward and apply gravity I can often hear 4-5 pops of vertebrae realigning but only after the muscles have loosened up which takes a while after waking.

I am willing to try anything to try to strengthen the muscles to hold up my spine.

I would like to know what are any options available?

Please include any and all information you have such as current and planned treatments and facilities, links, success rates, and average cost per treatment or average cost per patient not including travel.

Anything you think is relative would be appreciated, including yoga and exercise links or references which target the thoracic.

I wish to be cured and get off of the pain meds and these would be my only options left.

Thanks for the concern and the tips. Although not exactly what I was looking for, I agree with you that all of these things you mentioned will help.
I just began some rehabilitative yoga. I do feel better with excersize most of the time. Some times it agrrivates it and I learn not to do that excersize.

Maybe I am looking for a quick fix in a different context tan common to these boards.

I am very interested in what stem cell options are availiable or where and when to expect them.

I am thankful for your concern and comments.

@ZanZen,

My mom is also dealing with degenerative disk disease, so I know exactly what you're going through to some extent.
She was taking the pain medications as prescribed by her doctor after having surgery for the condition. Now that she stopped taking the medications, she has turned towards medical marijuana as the basis of her relief. I get the sense that it's been helping her, at least from a mental and emotional perspective in so far as managing her pain response/threshold. Perhaps this could prove to be a lucrative option for you as well?

I also highly recommend some form of physical activity, because I believe that when your body stops moving (for years on end), things start shutting down and gravity will begin to take it's toll on your muscles and bones. For this reason I think yoga is an excellent option that should be done as often as possible to help strengthen your muscles that support your back. Aside from that, fresh air and walking for a significant amount of time each day, may also be very beneficial in realigning your posture.

An exercise I do that focuses on my lower lumbar region is called "super man". You lay on your stomach on the floor and pretty much act as if you're flying (with your arms out in front of you and your feet elevated off the ground. A few minutes of this a day, seems to keep my lower back and posture in check.

I hope this advice helps!
