Walgreens Pharmacy Ethics

I've been dealing with the head pharmacist at Walgreens in Santa Clarita for about 5 or 6 years now. I've been very happy and he is a professional person. I went for my January rx and found out they quit selling my Watson brand and gave me some other junk. So I called HQ about this problem and complained. So after all this Walgreens restocked Watson Brand again. So that was settled and I was happy. After a day or so the head pharmacist named {edited for privacy} was let go of after working 23 years. I am so stunned. This person gave Walgreens 100 percent and worked his but off. I and lot of other people are pissed off at this pharmacy, Santa Clarita store.

After 23 yrs of service you think this ungrateful store would stand behind their workers. Those FAT CATS who sit behind their desk have no dam clue how hard it is to run a pharmacy and no dam idea. All about money and who you can blame today. Instead of standing behind their employees they shaft them and it totally makes me sick. This man bent over backwards to help and assist customers and make sure the elderly were taken care of. I watched him and I have witnessed this. So you ungrateful fat desk lovers take note what you did to {edited for privacy} because where he goes his favorite customers will follow!

Watch your pharmacy business drop because you will lose a lot of customers because of this. I hope. You take no pride in employees and thank them for a job well done. Not their dam faults. I am a state employee and we even get a pat on the back when a knob is well done. It makes me sick to go to this store. The Palmdale store has nothing and it’s managed bad. I suggest you desk jockeys check and find out how hard it is to run a Pharmacy. You keep sitting there and watch your pharmacy get smaller because of one person you gave the boot to. Keep your desk clean have your steaks and beer every night and enjoy. It won’t last. So HQ will wonder why 1 person can make a good pharmacist handle all the customers. It’s a dam shame and makes me sick to my stomach. I guess they have a name for Corp HQ. JERKS.

Hello, John! How are you? I am very sorry about the issues you've experienced.

But are you certain he was let go? It is possible he just left to take a job elsewhere, where he might be happier, and be given a pay raise. I've known this to happen, several times. Moving on to a better job that pays more or suits you better, is not the same as being let go, or fired.

And, if someone at the pharmacy told you he was 'let go', or fired, that is a violation of privacy standards, and they could be in legal trouble for telling you that.

What medication are you taking? Generally, the pharmacist is not in control of which generic they receive, their supplier usually just provides them with the product from whatever manufacturer was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply.

No not helpful, I don’t believe Walgreens takes pride in their products/generic junk. I already complained and although they did get my meds back. Thank God for that.

I like to post what walgreens is doing to myself and others who depend on watson brand norco 10/325. Instead walgreens ordered some garbage brand. My wife picked up my rx and when I got home from work I find out they gave me so junk! They told me I would get Watson brand. They lied. They also did this in january of this year. I was so sick from the brand I called blue shield and told them what they did, also my doctor. I called the HQ of walgreens and complained and the pharmacist is fighting with me saying I opened and used it, I had no choice due to my illness! I got permission to buy oem which is cost expensive. Blue shield said I can purchase oem brand. I am getting fed up with walgreens and the sneaky things they do, the pharmacist told me in january that would happen again. I got a note on my rx stating that I get oem brand. What about other people that have to deal with this junk brand they are giving to their customers? The big wigs will also hear from me and I will file a complaint against them. They are greedy and dam selfish. They haven't heard the last of this. I will post this about their greed / and making people sick, and the drug is ineffective/weak/no good. They are full of greed and don’t care about their customers. I hope people read this and stop buying their rx from walgreens. If they don’t change back I will go to costco and get my meds there. I'm mad as heck.
