Walgreens Pharmacy Blacklisted

Updated

My girlfriend is having this exact issue. We went to a walgreens in Altamonte Springs Florida, across from Florida Hospital Altamonte. She has a spinal simulator for pain management, and it has broken, and is now malfunctioning and sending electrical shocks straight into her spinal cord. To have this implant put in it required drilling holes in her vertebre...this is NOT a small procedure. This of course is causing great amounts of pain. We went to the pharmacist with a prescription given by her doctor, and we have no problem waiting for it to be verified. The Pharmacist we find out later blacklisted her, and now she cannot get ANY meds from Walgreens, even cold medications. So not only can she not get her pain meds, she cannot go to any Aalgreens for any medications whatsoever. We found this out when she went in and they treated her like she was some kind of crackhead criminal.

My girlfriend is a 25 year old blonde girl, who is clean cut, was wearing a Ralph Laurren shirt when we walked in, and carries a $300 Dooney and Bourke purse. I drove up in my Audi. We are far from looking like drug addicts or pill poppers. We just want her to get her pain meds so she can stay out of the hospital, until she can have her surgery to fix her simulator. She has been on pain meds for 9 years, and we brought all the documentation to prove this. The Pharmacist was a real a-hole for doing this to her.

Hello, Matthew! How are you and your girlfriend? I'm very sorry about what happened.

Walgreens has done this to a lot of people recently and, unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. It's basically an internal blacklist only relevant to their stores and the reasons they put people on it have, so far, not made any sense.

The best option for you is to use a different pharmacy, from on.

Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?

Re: Verwon (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Hi, my name is Tina. I've been through the exact same thing. I've had MS for over 20 some years and dealt with over 20 medications. Today I decided to go on my email to see what Walgreens had to say about the contest. It was a crack egg contest for $50. So I cracked the egg & it went onto the next page which said very very small, and barely seen the print with my reading glasses! SMH - The tiny print said that I was blacklisted from Walgreens. I was thinking, WTF? I couldn't figure out why I was blacklisted. Then I thought about it the last time I was at Walgreens it was the third time they gave me somebody else's medication when I told them and brought the medication back to Walgreens and the pharmacist has said sorry to me so many times I hated that word!!! But did they ever do anything about it, NO! But they did decide to blacklist me! I was like WFT did they blacklist me for? I couldn't figure it out. I was thinking, did I ever lose my temper with them...most likely. Lol but that didn't bug them! It was the third time I brought back the medication that they got wrong and gave to the wrong person. If I would've taken that medicine I would probably be in the hospital or paralyzed but they did nothing to prevent it from happening the next time because it happened two more times after that, then I'm blacklisted. Doesn't make any sense but then again I really didn't care because on the second time they gave me the medication I told him I didn't need the medications that they were providing me with because I found a different pharmacy. The pharmacy I'm still with is CVS pharmacy! They have so much patience so much agitation about pills they make sure they don't give the wrong people medications. They double check their medications, their names and their numbers for their insurance cards. They are very respectful and kind and very courteous and very interested in what you have to say.

I love Cvs and would not trade that for Walgreens even if Walgreens gave me $100,000 for what they did to me I would not accept it or go back. They've proved to me three times on their own they cannot provide good service. The people that work behind the pharmacy counter are rude and act like they're above you and that they can tell you what medications you can and cannot take. That is so wrong. They're not even your doctor to say so. To anyone that deals with Walgreens and has a good experience with them, I say you're one of the blessed ones. Anybody else that had problems with Walgreens in the past I would say get out while you can before they blacklist you for whatever reasons they want to! I believe anywhere any other pharmacy is better and worth an experience than Walgreens! What is really crazy is I've been going to Walgreens since my early childhood years with my grandmother and now this experience that I've been having was not the Walgreens I knew. And I'd just like to say I'm so sorry for all the people that had to deal with Walgreens and the blacklist crap. You're better than that. Don't let anybody ever tell you you're a pill popper or junkie. You know what you are and what you're made out of no matter what. All humans are legal and all humans are supposed to be treated equally. You are equal, we are equal, don't let anybody else tell you otherwise. P.S. I may have an illness but I am one tough cookie and all I can say is if you want to start a fight I am willing to finish it. I will fight to the end and fight for what I believe in!! I know the people believe in big marketers and stores in pharmacies like Walgreens but if you do me wrong I'm gonna prove the truth and I will win. I am the last person you want to face not because I think I'm better but because I know I fight for what I believe in! I do not scare easily. I have never been intimidated by anyone and never backed away from something I believe and I would love for you to try. Lol. I do not need your RX discount card either Walgreens, just so you could say I'm blacklisted. Thanks but no thanks! I'm sorry, NOT SORRY!
